Renovation of an educational facility in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 16,297-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility. The revitalization project of the Rosalie Sharp Pavilion to create a multi-use OCAD U student-focused centre including new façade comprised of white metal scrim, would wrap the building and make it appear two levels taller and exterior building renovation and building system improvement projects with a focus on exterior decorative scrims. Some interior renovations of the existing building will also be revitalized. The proposed revitalization addresses environmental, energy and sustainability concerns. As well as recycling and reusing some of the interior materials and the scrims ability to minimize heat, light and heat sensors would adjust energy requirements according to whether or not a space is in use.
